meeting began at 7:06 pm with 12 people attending.
Crime Report with Ofc Crosby
includes info for September to today
vehicle, residential burglary, directed patrols, traffic stops for narcotics at the borders of the neighborhood, robbery, someone strong armed. Crimes occurred at those places with unlocked doors or windows down, cut lock on shed. Burglary at Subway during renovation, may have security video from Amscot.
Excessive speeding on 10th St between 58th Ave and 62nd Ave and also on 52nd Ave near 13th St. Ofc Crosby can see about conducting a speed study there and possible speed humps or stop signs.
Home mentioned in Sept that had door open has been investigated, in a state of disrepair and will be torn down in early 2012. Codes secured the doors and working on figuring out who owns it.
Therese Johnson reported that a scooter was stolen from her home on 46th Ave.
A sector meeting will happen at the Fossil Park Rec Ctr on 11/9 at 7pm.

Halloween Decorating Contest
Rayma Leach, winner, 5835 10th St. This event was lots of fun and had a good amount of participation. Thanks to all!
Marlo- St Pete Vineyard Church
Christmas Banquet will occur at the Enoch Rec Ctr, 1111 18th Ave S on Dec 17.
This event will be held for the homeless people of the city and volunteers are needed. There are many people living in their cars and this event is to help promote them to get off the streets. It will have entertainment and a traditional dinner with turkey.
Raffle tickets are being sold by the church for $10 each or 3/$25 to help earn money for this event. Prizes include 22” flat screen tv, gift certificate to a photographer and $75 cash.
The church will be collecting food and other items to distribute at the event. Please bring your donations to the front door of the church by Dec 10 and leave under the canopy. They need canned turkey gravy, canned yams, cranberries, and gift cards to the grocery stores for turkeys. They will also be buying shirts and blankets to distribute that evening.

Kickboxing for Kids

New program to begin on Dec 8, every other Thursday from 630-8, free to the public.
Pathways Community Church, 801 Seminole Blvd
This program is rooted in scriptures being taught with kickboxing to increase self-confidence and abduction prevention.

All members unanimously voted to re-elect our current officers. The ten ballots were counted by Darryl Purchase.

We currently have 602.96 in our treasury.
Membership Drive
membership applications will be handed out to the neighborhood before the Jan meeting. Alvin’s teens will help to distribute them.
Mayor’s Summit
Maria, Neil and Diana attended the Mayor’s Summit in October to learn how to grow the organization. There is a new recognition program to increase neighborhoods working with teens or crime watch groups on projects. For example Allendale sponsored one of the recent basketball tournaments at the Robert’s Center. Alvin’s group is here to help, let them know what they can do. Maybe the kickboxing group could help too?
