Euclid Heights history

So I was researching exactly whey we are called "Euclid Heights" and discovered that there is a Lake Euclid (named for the Greek mathematician) within the Lake Euclid neighborhood (designated from 22nd Avenue North to 30th Avenue North and I-275 to 16th Street). Also, the St Pete web site says we are known for our trees and gardens. I'm curious how integral Lake Euclid was to our neighborhood when it was borne in the 20s and where all the gardens are!

Are there any people in the neighborhood who could provide some historical information on what the neighborhood used to look like? What was the green space on 52nd Ave previously? Where are the gardens?

Thanks in advance!
Neil
